In a world where sound knows no boundaries, Six Missing and Yannick Lowack first connected through their mutual love for emotionally striking compositions.
As artists on Nettwerk, their shared vision and dedication to crafting immersive soundscapes brought them together, forging a creative partnership that transcends borders and genres. Six Missing, a prolific and emotionally resonant producer and composer, and German pianist Yannick Lowack, known for his delicate yet powerful compositions, present a profound exploration of the infinite landscapes within the mind.
The origins of the album lie in a deeply collaborative process. Yannick began by composing and recording a series of hauntingly beautiful piano passages, each carrying an emotional weight and narrative potential. These raw and intimate pieces were then handed over to Six Missing, who transformed them within the studio. Through the use of vintage synthesizers, guitars, modular synths, and an array of studio effects, the piano passages became the foundation for an expansive sonic journey. The result is a collection of tracks that marry the organic warmth of the piano with the shimmering textures of electronic soundscapes, bridging the gap between the human and the otherworldly.
"friedlich," meaning peaceful in German, invites listeners to close their eyes and step into an ever-shifting tapestry of imagined cinema. The music drifts seamlessly between light and shadow, weaving atmospheric textures and delicate piano arrangements into a soundtrack that is deeply personal yet universally resonant. Each note serves as a brushstroke on an invisible canvas, painting scenes that change with every listen—from tranquil dawn-lit forests to the boundless expanse of starlit skies.
This collaboration transcends genre, aiming instead to create a shared space where emotion and imagination flow freely. Like clouds morphing against a vast horizon, the album's compositions transform to meet the mood of the listener, becoming whatever they need in that moment. It is a celebration of music’s boundless ability to tell stories without words, offering a score for the films we play within ourselves—each unique, fleeting, and unrepeatable.
For the best experience, listeners may want to close their eyes and immerse themselves in a darkened room, letting the music guide their imagination. However, wherever and however you choose to listen is ideal—the journey is yours to define.
