Developments arrives at a time when many of us are quietly searching for stillness in a world that rarely allows it. It’s a record designed to slow the pulse, steady the breath, and offer the listener a place to rest the mind — a cinematic remedy to the overwhelm of daily life.

This seven-part collaboration between Patrik Berg Almkvisth and Six Missing feels like stepping into a film that exists only inside your own imagination. Patrik’s piano is delicate yet unwavering, each note carrying the quiet weight of something found rather than built. From these foundations, Six Missing constructs lush, enveloping environments — layers of vintage tape textures, Moog synthesizers, acoustic and electric guitars, slide melodies, bass, and modular tones that shimmer like light spilling across a darkened room.

The process began with Patrik sending improvised solo piano pieces — moments of spontaneous beauty captured in their raw form. Six Missing then expanded each one into a fully realized scene, cycling them through tape machines, routing them into modular systems, and weaving them together with an ear for movement, space, and emotional arc. Between the main “Developments” movements, three modular-built passages (Intro, Interlude, and Outro) emerged organically — unexpected yet essential transitions that add dimension and narrative flow.

Mixed in Dolby Atmos, Developments is an album to inhabit, not just hear. It’s music for mind-movies, for lingering in the quiet spaces between thoughts, for rediscovering the beauty of slowing down. In a time of endless distraction, it offers something rare: a gentle invitation to be fully present.
